The road to this olympiad has certainly been paved with controversy. Whether you choose to watch because you enjoy the spirit of peace and solidarity among countries that the olympics are known for, or whether you choose to boycott the olympics because of Russia’s politics, you get to choose when and how and why you participate in viewing the olympics. Below is a short video about the rights of queer people and Russia so that we know, as viewers, what climate surrounds these games. In the middle of a video is the title of another video about violence against gay men in Russia. This video lasts only a few minutes but contains graphic violence and language.
